De la Guyane à l'étranger

Fin janvier, 4 jeunes guyanais s’envoleront pour les Pays-Bas. Pendant 2 mois, ils effectueront un volontariat européen à La Haye dans l’association "Culture Clash 4 U", une expérience qui marquera certainement leurs vies.

Ils sont de Kourou, Matoury ou Awala-Yalimapo et ont la jeunesse et la soif de partir à l'aventure !

Le "Corps Européen de Solidarité" (lié au programme "Erasmus+ Jeunesse et Sport") permet à tout jeune de 18 à 30 ans, résident de manière légale sur le territoire européen, de pouvoir vivre une expérience de mobilité et d'engagement volontaire dans un autre pays d'Europe.

Et c'est justement le cas de nos 4 prochains volontaires car 2 d'entre eux sont de nationalité étrangère (haïtienne et surinamaise) et les 2 autres sont de nationalité française.

Ces futurs volontaires européens participeront donc aux actions interculturelles de leur structure d'accueil : organisation d'un festival de film, d'événements musicaux, de formations, soutien au centre social de la Haye.

Ils auront même la possibilité d'entreprendre et de créer son leur propre projet événementiel.

Les jeunes participent à une formation de préparation au départ le vendredi 31 janvier 2020 au local de Peupl'en Harmonie puis s'envoleront pour l'Europe le soir même. La formation abordera les notions d'interculturalité, de citoyenneté, d'engagement
volontaire et solidaire. Une petite remise à niveau en anglais est également prévue.

At the end of January, 4 young Guyanese will fly to the Netherlands. For 2 months, they will do European volunteering in The Hague in the association "Culture Clash 4 U", an experience that will certainly mark their lives.

They are from Kourou, Matoury or Awala-Yalimapo and are young and thirsty to go on an adventure!

The "European Solidarity Corps" (linked to the "Erasmus + Youth and Sport" program) allows any young person between 18 and 30 years of age, legally resident on European territory, to be able to have an experience of mobility and voluntary commitment in another European country.

And this is precisely the case of our next 4 volunteers because 2 of them are of foreign nationality (Haitian and Surinamese) and the 2 others are of French nationality.

These future European volunteers will therefore participate in the intercultural actions of their host structure: organization of a film festival, musical events, training, support for the social center in The Hague.

They will even have the opportunity to undertake and create their own event project.

The young people take part in a preparation training for departure on Friday January 31, 2020 at the Peupl'en Harmonie premises then will fly to Europe the same evening. The training will address the concepts of interculturality, citizenship, commitment voluntary and united. A small refresher in English is also planned.
