Mercredi 11-18-25 mars et 01 avril au Camp de la Transportation de Saint-Laurent du Maroni, Case 11

La commune de Saint-Laurent du Maroni, labellisée Ville d'art et d'histoire, vous propose les mercredis 11, 18, 25 Mars et 01 Avril 2020, un cycle d’ateliers d'initiation au palmier bâche avec l'artiste Edson FERREIRA, au camp de la Transportation de 15h à 18h.

Guidés par l’artiste plasticien, venez découvrir une façon originale de travailler le palmier bâche en transformant ses fibres naturelles en canots, pirogues et autres embarcations ! Apprenez ensuite à poser un regard neuf sur l’existant. A partir de canettes, bouchons ou encore capsules, créez une œuvre unique en donnant une seconde vie aux objets du quotidien. Dans l’atelier d’Edson Ferreira, rien ne se perd, tout se transforme !

The commune of Saint-Laurent du Maroni, labeled City of Art and History, offers you Wednesdays 11, 18, 25 March and 01 April 2020, a cycle of initiation workshops on tarpaulin palm with the artist Edson FERREIRA, at the Transportation camp from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Guided by the visual artist, come and discover an original way of working with tarpaulin palm by transforming its natural fibers into canoes, canoes and other boats! Then learn to take a fresh look at the existing. From cans, caps or capsules, create a unique work by giving a second life to everyday objects. In Edson Ferreira's studio, nothing is lost, everything is transformed!
