Dénomination du stade municipal Daniel SINAÏ

La ville de Matoury bénéficie du label « Ville Active & Sportive » depuis le 8 février 2019 et est lauréate du label « Terre de Jeux 2024 » depuis le 26 février 2021, grâce à l'engagement de tous les acteurs associatifs et des clubs depuis leurs origines et, notamment, l’association Eclair De Matoury (EDM) dont Daniel SINAÏ a été le président fondateur le 3 juin 1971.

Dans une volonté de rendre hommage aux personnalités de leur vivant, la Municipalité souhaite honorer l’homme de conviction Daniel SINAÏ, et mettre en exergue, au travers de sa carrière entrepreneuriale, artistique, culturelle et sportive très riche ; son parcours de dirigeant sportif dans le domaine du football, qui a permis de véhiculer des valeurs d’effort, de courage et de persévérance auprès de la jeunesse guyanaise en général et matourienne en particulier.

A cet effet, Daniel SINAÏ donnera son nom au nouveau terrain d’entraînement et au stade municipal de Matoury qui a accueilli son club depuis sa construction en 1976 et lui a permis d’obtenir de brillants résultats.

La cérémonie de dénomination en présence de nombreuses personnalités se tiendra le Vendredi 10 juin à 9h00 à la Maison des Arts Martiaux.

The city of Matoury has benefited from the "active & sporting city" label since February 8, 2019 and has been awarded the "Terre de jeux 2024" label since February 26, 2021, thanks to the commitment of all the associative actors and clubs since their origins and, in particular, the association Eclair De Matoury (EDM) of which Daniel SINAI was the founding president on June 3, 1971.

In a desire to pay tribute to personalities during their lifetime, the Municipality wishes to honor the man of conviction Daniel SINAI, and highlight, through his very rich entrepreneurial, artistic, cultural and sporting career; his career as a sports leader in the field of football, which has made it possible to convey the values of effort, courage and perseverance to Guyanese youth in general and Matourian youth in particular.

To this end, Daniel SINAI will give his name to the new training ground and the municipal stadium of Matoury which has hosted his club since its construction in 1976 and has enabled it to obtain brilliant results.

The naming ceremony in the presence of many personalities will be held on Friday, June 10 at 9:00 a.m. at the Martial Arts House.
