Disparition de Monsieur Stéphane APOLLINAIRE

Gabriel SERVILLE, Président de la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane, a appris ce matin, avec émotion, la disparition de Stéphane Apollinaire, figure emblématique du militantisme en faveur des intérêts de la communauté amérindienne.

«Cet engagement sans faille mis au service de cette dernière, notamment par le biais de sa mission de coordinateur général de la Fédération des Organisations Autochtones de Guyane, aura fortement marqué les esprits.

Un sens de l’action en faveur de la communauté amérindienne qu’il partageait avec sa famille, à l’origine de la fondation du village Kali’na d’Awala- Yalimapo. Ce lien particulier avec la commune s’est poursuivi à travers son engagement en tant que conseiller municipal de 2001 à 2014.

Sa disparition vient également endeuiller la communauté éducative du collège Léo Othily de Mana, où il enseignait le français.

Stéphane Appolinaire laissera, sans aucun doute, un souvenir impérissable à ceux qui ont croisé sa route.

Gabriel SERVILLE, President of the Territorial Collectivity of French Guiana, learned this morning, with emotion, of the disappearance of Stéphane Apollinaire, an emblematic figure of activism in favor of the interests of the Amerindian community.

“This unfailing commitment put at the service of the latter, in particular through its mission as general coordinator of the Federation of Indigenous Organizations of French Guiana, will have had a strong impression.

A sense of action in favor of the Amerindian community that he shared with his family, at the origin of the foundation of the Kali'na village of Awala-Yalimapo. This particular link with the municipality continued through his commitment as a municipal councilor from 2001 to 2014.

His disappearance also brings mourning to the educational community of the Léo Othily de Mana college, where he taught French.

Stéphane Appolinaire will undoubtedly leave an unforgettable memory to those who crossed his path.
