Incident sur un vol Paris-Cayenne : le Préfet condamne les violences

Vendredi 11 février, une bagarre a éclatée entre plusieurs individus, à bord d’un vol Paris-Cayenne. L’équipage ayant prévenu la brigade de gendarmerie des transports aériens (BGTA) de Guyane, la police aux frontières (PAF) est intervenue immédiatement au posé de l’avion. Trois personnes ont ainsi été placées en garde à vue.

Le préfet de la région Guyane, Thierry QUEFFELEC, salue l’action rapide de la Gendarmerie et de la Police Nationale. La prise en compte des informations transmises par la compagnie aérienne et son équipage, a permis une interpellation rapide et sans mise en danger des autres passagers.

La violence n’a pas sa place à bord d’un avion, ou dans n’importe quel type de transport. Elle met en danger à la fois l’intégrité physique des employés et passagers, en même temps que le trajet lui-même. Le Préfet condamne fermement ces actes, et appelle au respect des autres et de leur sécurité.

On Friday February 11, a fight broke out between several individuals on board a Paris-Cayenne flight. The crew having informed the air transport gendarmerie brigade (BGTA) of French Guiana, the border police intervened immediately when the aircraft landed. Three people were thus taken into custody.

The prefect of the French Guiana region, Thierry QUEFFELEC, salutes the rapid action of the Gendarmerie and the National Police. The taking into account of the information transmitted by the airline and its crew, allowed a rapid arrest and without endangering the other passengers.

Violence has no place on board an airplane, or in any type of transport. It endangers both the physical integrity of employees and passengers, as well as the journey itself. The Prefect strongly condemns these acts, and calls for respect for others and their safety.
