Lorvencia JEAN, grande gagnante du concours de l’éloquence

Lorvencia JEAN vient de remporter jeudi 1er juillet 2021 la finale du concours guyanais d’éloquence dans la catégorie "lycée".

Cette jeune fille d’origine haïtienne, élève en classe de 2de GT au lycée agricole de Matiti, s’est très vite montrée enjouée quant au maniement des mots. Repérée par son enseignant de français, Hubert POTTIER, Lorvencia n’a pas été longue à relever le challenge et s'inscrire au concours d'éloquence guyanais. Épaulée par ses enseignants, monsieur POTTIER puis madame NOLLET-LOISEAU, elle ne s'est jamais découragée. Elle s'est adaptée aux formations à distance et a appris à dompter les webcams.

Demi-finale gagnée le 24 juin sur le bassin de Kourou, elle a affronté un jeune homme très talentueux également de l'externat Saint-Joseph sur le thème "Liberté Égalité Fraternité".

Lorvencia s'est lancée dans un sublime plaidoyer sur le droit des femmes qui nous a impressionné et ému les spectateurs aux larmes mais certainement aussi les membres du jury : elle a su conjuguer magistralement le geste et la parole et manier le verbe et les intonations avec brio !

Lorvencia venait de gagner (toujours soutenue par son enseignante) le 1er prix du concours international d'écriture organisé par l'Université de Guyane avec un texte qui s'appelle "Love". Elle poursuit sa scolarité en 1ère générale l'année prochaine avec un bel avenir devant elle et déjà quelques points marqués pour le grand oral du bac.

Lorvencia JEAN just won the final of the Guianese eloquence competition on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in the "high school" category.

This young girl of Haitian origin, a 2nd year GT student at the agricultural high school in Matiti, was quickly cheerful about the use of words. Spotted by her French teacher, Hubert POTTIER, Lorvencia did not take long to rise to the challenge and register for the Guianese eloquence contest. Supported by her teachers, Mr. POTTIER then Ms. NOLLET-LOISEAU, she was never discouraged. She adapted to distance training and learned to tame webcams.

Semi-final won on June 24 in the Kourou basin, she faced a very talented young man also from the Saint-Joseph day school on the theme "Liberty Equality Fraternity".

Lorvencia embarked on a sublime plea on women's rights which impressed us and moved the spectators to tears but certainly also the members of the jury: she knew how to masterfully combine gesture and speech and use the verb and intonations with brio!

Lorvencia had just won (always supported by her teacher) the 1st prize of the international writing competition organized by the University of French Guiana with a text called "Love". She continues her education in 1st general next year with a bright future ahead of her and already some points scored for the grand oral of the baccalaureate.
