Opération de maintenance du bassin dans l’écoquartier Hibiscus à Cayenne

Jeudi 12 novembre 2020 - En concertation avec la ville de Cayenne, l’EPFA Guyane, aménageur de l’écoquartier Hibiscus va effectuer une opération d’entretien exceptionnel du bassin paysager. Avant la saison des pluies, à partir du lundi 16 novembre 2020 et pour quatre semaines environ, la société Eiffage va vider le bassin. Lors de contrôles, les équipes techniques de l’EPFA Guyane ont constaté la présence de rouille sur une partie du gabion immergé du bassin, situé sur la rive avale (côté stade et rocade).

L’EPFA Guyane intervient donc rapidement pour traiter la présence de rouille. L’accès aux abords du bassin sera modifié pour les usagers en fonction des étapes du chantier. La Mairie de Cayenne et l’EPFA Guyane informeront régulièrement les habitants des avancées des travaux via leurs réseaux sociaux, leurs sites internet et une réunion d’information.

La nature de l’intervention
C’est une opération de maintenance et de vidange d’un chantier hydraulique. Le gabion est utilisé dans les aménagements paysagers hydrauliques. C’est une cage en grillage métallique que l’on remplit de pierres, qui sert de matelas pour maintenir la berge.
La rouille identifiée sur le gabion ne perturbe pas l’écosystème naturel et n’engage pas la sécurité des riverains.
La société Eiffage va vider le bassin et projeter du béton dit maritime sur le gabion corrodé pour le traiter.

Le déroulé des travaux
Les équipes travailleront du lundi au vendredi de 6h30 à 17h.

Du 16/11/2020 au 20/11/2020 : le bassin de compensation sera pompé de ses 20.000 m3 d’eau de pluie, à l’aide de motopompes. L’eau sera déversée dans l’exutoire actuel du bassin situé sous la rocade de Zéphir.
Du 23/11/2020 au 01/12/2020 : les gabions seront nettoyés et de nouvelles armatures seront fixées.
Du 02/12/2020 au 18/12/2020 : 15 m3 de mortier seront projetés sur le gabion sur la partie basse à l’aide de pompes spécifiques.
A partir 21/12/2020 : remise en eau naturellement du bassin.

L’accès du public aux abords du bassin sera modifié pendant les travaux.

Durant quelques jours en fonction de la nature séquencée des travaux, se promener autour du bassin sera interdit. Des panneaux de chantier informeront les usagers sur le terrain.

A partir de mi-décembre, les usagers, les promeneurs, les riverains, les commerçants, les collégiens retrouveront leur parc urbain.

La mairie de Cayenne et l’EPFA Guyane présentent leurs excuses aux usagers pour la gêne occasionnée.

Thursday, November 12, 2020 - In consultation with the city of Cayenne, the French Guiana EPFA, developer of the Hibiscus eco-district, will carry out an exceptional maintenance operation of the landscaped basin. Before the rainy season, from Monday November 16, 2020 and for about four weeks, the Eiffage company will empty the basin. During checks, the technical teams of the EPFA French Guiana noted the presence of rust on part of the submerged gabion of the basin, located on the downstream bank (stadium and bypass side).

The French Guiana EPFA therefore intervenes quickly to deal with the presence of rust. Access to the area around the basin will be changed for users depending on the stages of the work. The Town Hall of Cayenne and the French Guiana EPFA will regularly inform residents of the progress of the work via their social networks, their websites and an information meeting.

The nature of the intervention
It is a maintenance and emptying operation of a hydraulic site. The gabion is used in hydraulic landscaping. It is a wire mesh cage that is filled with stones, which serves as a mattress to hold the bank.
The rust identified on the gabion does not disturb the natural ecosystem and does not affect the safety of local residents.
The Eiffage company will empty the basin and spray so-called maritime concrete on the corroded gabion to treat it.

The course of the work
The teams will work Monday to Friday from 6.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

From 11/16/2020 to 11/20/2020: the compensation basin will be pumped with its 20,000 m3 of rainwater, using motor pumps. The water will be discharged into the existing outlet of the basin located under the Zéphir bypass.
From 23/11/2020 to 01/12/2020: the gabions will be cleaned and new frames will be attached.
From 12/02/2020 to 12/18/2020: 15 m3 of mortar will be sprayed onto the gabion on the lower part using specific pumps.
From 12/21/2020: naturally replenishing the pool with water.

Public access to the area around the basin will be modified during the work.

For a few days depending on the sequenced nature of the work, walking around the basin will be prohibited. Site signs will inform users in the field.

From mid-December, users, walkers, residents, traders, schoolchildren will find their urban park.

Cayenne City Hall and the French Guiana EPFA apologize to users for the inconvenience caused.
