La CTG a rejoint la communauté « Terre de Jeux 2024 »

En 2024, la France va organiser le plus grand événement sportif de la planète, et la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane participera à cette fête exceptionnelle ! Ce lundi 09 mars 2020, la Guyane était le premier territoire ultramarin à obtenir le label "Terre de Jeux 2024" suite à la candidature portée par la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane.

Dès aujourd’hui et jusqu’en 2024, le label « Terre de Jeux 2024 » propose à tous les territoires de France et à leurs habitants de participer aux temps forts des Jeux et de développer en local leurs propres actions afin de mettre encore plus de sport dans le quotidien des Françaises et des Français.

Ce lundi 09 mars 2024, l’obtention par la Guyane du label « Terre de Jeux 2024 » a fait l’objet d’une signature de convention entre le Comité d'Organisation des Jeux Olympiques (COJO) de Paris 2024 et la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane. Tony Estanguet, président du COJO, et Rodolphe Alexandre, président de la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane, étaient tous deux co-signataires de cette convention.

L’obtention du Label « Terre de Jeux 2024 » permettra à la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane de poursuivre trois objectifs :

- Faire partager les émotions du sport aux Guyanaises et Guyanais à travers des événements festifs autour du sport;
- Mettre plus de sport dans le quotidien des Guyanaises et Guyanais de tout âge;
- Animer et faire grandir sur le territoire la communauté de celles et ceux qui sont passionnés par les Jeux.

Les actions menées en local seront ensuite remontées auprès du comité et pourront être mises en valeur au niveau national.

In 2024, France will organize the largest sporting event on the planet, and the Territorial authority of French Guiana will participate in this exceptional celebration! This Monday, March 09, 2020, French Guiana was the first overseas territory to obtain the "Terre de Jeux 2024" label following the candidacy brought by the Territorial Collectivity of French Guiana.

From today until 2024, the “Terre de Jeux 2024” label offers all the territories of France and their inhabitants to participate in the highlights of the Games and to develop their own actions locally in order to put even more sport in the daily lives of French men and women.

This Monday, March 09, 2024, the obtaining by French Guiana of the label “Land of Games 2024” was the subject of a signature of convention between the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (OCOG) of Paris 2024 and the Territorial Collectivity of French Guiana. Tony Estanguet, President of the OCOG, and Rodolphe Alexandre, President of the Territorial CTG, were both co-signers of this agreement.

Obtaining the "Land of Games 2024" label will enable the CTG to pursue three objectives:

- Share the emotions of sport with Guianese people through festive events around sport;
- Put more sport in the daily life of Guianese women and men of all ages;
- Animate and develop in the territory the community of those who are passionate about the Games.

Actions carried out locally will then be reported to the committee and can be highlighted at the national level.
